Light Domestic Cleaning (Carers are not able to move heavy furniture)

Shopping and collecting pensions

Care Workers are NOT able to carry out any of the following:

  • Toenail and fingernail Cutting/Filing

  • Ear syringing

  • Removing or replacing urinary catheters

  • Bowel evacuation

  • Injections

  • Programming of syringe drivers

  • Lifting of clients from the floor unaided (even when a hoist in situ – they must call for assistance)

  • Any heavy lifting of furniture

  • Painting

  • To stand on chairs or worktops

Who is eligible to use our Service?

  • Vulnerable Adults 18+ (Both Male and Female)

  • Frail older people

  • Adults with physical disabilities

  • Adults with sensory loss/impairment

  • Learning Difficulties

  • Adults with Memory Impairment

i.e. those struggling at home to look after themselves or a loved one, who may need assistance because their health has deteriorated, or their circumstances have changed after an operation, or time spent in respite.
